I am currently a Research Staff Member at IBM's T.J. Watson Laboratory in Yorktown Heights, New York. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University's Computer Science department, where my advisor was Dr. Subbarao (Rao) Kambhampati. Prior to that, I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from ASU.

My research is in the field of Automated Planning, within the wider umbrella of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and examines the issues inherent in using automated planners as mediators in human-machine teams. My thesis dealt specifically with automated planning challenges in human-robot teaming. Currently, I am working on creating automated conversation systems, and applying planning and reinforcement learning techniques to bridging symbolic and neural approaches that tackle this problem.

You can find my my extended resume (CV) here, and my research statement here.
